- Twitter (Iphone app, Mac app, and Tweetdeck)
—Using twitter to have better communication with my friends, have better connection with the world. I have followed some of my friends, celebrities, and some official accounts to make full use of it. We could also create post to share our lives and thoughts.
- Facebook & Messenger (Iphone app, Mac app)
—Facebook has similar roles as twitter, but without words limits when create a post.
—I find Messenger useful to have private chat with Facebook friends.
- Instagram (Iphone app)
—To share amazing photos with friends. Instagram also has its own smart filter to make my photos more attractive.
- Slack (Iphone app, Mac app)
—A group-working tool. It’s convenient to use Slack at class to share files, opinions, links with others. It can be used in future work to discuss some issues with group members efficiently.
- Wechat (Iphone app, Mac app)
—Wechat is widely used in mainland China. We use it to chat with friends, talk in a group, or create post to share our opinions or lives. It’s a great social media tool that could perfectly combine chat with post.
- Weibo (Iphone app)
—In mainland, Weibo is widely used to share and acquire information. We can follow both our friends and celebrities. The function is in part like Twitter or Facebook.
- Youtube (Website)
—We can not only find videos on Youtube, but also publish our own videos. I have used my own channel to upload video on video news production class. It’s convenient to share and communicate with the whole world.
- Medium (Iphone app)
—I haven’t had much use of Medium. But I find it interesting of the regular emails with selected content that I’m interested in. It can save much time and make me get more useful information on it.
- WhatsApp (Iphone app)
—We can make phone call and send messages by WhatsApp. It’s just like mobile phone’s basic function, but can be faster and save more money.
- Dropbox (Iphone app, Mac app)
—Dropbox can help me store files efficiently. I have used it on both laptop and mobile phone, so that I can check my files at any time and in any place. In addition, it can help me transfer files between my different devices.
